In a world full of sounds, it is almost a necessity to pick up a pair of headphones or earbuds. Usually, when choosing which headphones or earbuds would join your technology arsenal, you had a choice: A cheap pair of headphones that would probably hold you over for about a month before falling to pieces, the sound of which being more enjoyable than that of the actual headphones playing music; or an extremely high-quality pair that will leave you with stunning audio and nothing to eat at the end of the day, seeing that you spent more on them than whatever you are using to play the music in the first place. Recently, companies have finally been compromising: relatively inexpensive headphones with relatively decent audio quality. The Wicked Audio Reverb Headphones may fit into that category, but, for the price, they are definitely a product worth checking out.

The Wicked Audio Reverb Headphones retail for ~$35, and are available in three colors: Red, White, and Blue. Point for patriotism, Wicked Audio. Well done.

These headphones include a few things that are normally not included in the low-budget competitors. Included in the box are an extension cable (6FT) and a 1/8th to 1/4 inch adapter for more professional uses.

When it comes to sound quality, you get what you paid for. Well….. kinda. Usually, at this price point, you get a balance of highs, mids, and lows that come together for an overall decent sound. These headphones, however, are a bit different. The highs and mids are a little on the muddy side, making sound appear slightly muffled. But, there is compensation. The lows of these headphones blew me away! When listening to deep, bass-filled music (like Dubstep!), you really get a sense that whoever designed these headphones was a fellow basshead. Simply stunning!

The build quality of these headphones is less than perfect…. by a longshot. Though they aren’t the worst-feeling headphones on the market, I feel as if if I were to take them to a gig I was playing, they would end up in pieces by the end of the night. This is somewhat of a disappointment, seeing that these headphones are somewhat-marketed towards musicians and professionals, since it includes that 1/8th to 1/4th inch adapter. It seems like if a musician would take these to any gig, they would end up broken, seeing that the life of a musician is rugged, a job for more sturdily-built headphones.

Overall, I would have to give these headphones a 4/5. The bass of these headphones makes me forget about the low build quality or the muddy highs and mids.

The iPhone is a revolutionary and powerful device. There is only one major drawback: the iPhone 4 has close to the WORST battery life imaginable. As most phones can go two to three days or more on a single charge, my iPhone 4 is maxing out at around 7-8 hours. That is where the beauty of the backup battery comes into view. Now, there are many contenders in this category fighting to win you over. But, to me, one ultra-portable installment takes the cake: the Richard Solo 1800.

Richard Solo, a brand known for battery solutions for many devices, offers three variations of the 1800- a BlackBerry compatible unit with a Mini-USB cable, an Apple variant with the Mini USB- 30 pin cable, and the stand-alone Apple device with the 30-pin connector built-in to the unit itself. I bought the latter for review purposes.

Included in the box:

RichardSolo 1800 Backup Battery
Retractable USB-Mini USB charging cable.
Single-port USB AC adapter
Double-port USB car adapter.
Adapters for original iPhone, iPhone 3G/3GS, and iPhone 4.

Now, this is a 1800 mAh battery, which will effectively double the battery life of an iPhone or iPod touch. Upon using this for a few weeks, I had very few times where the device has actually died on me. This is in part a result to the multitude of charging options available.

The Bottom-Line: The RichardSolo 1800 is an amazing answer to the iPhone’s power-thurst.

You can pick one up for yourself at http://richardsolo.com. And, when you order the RichardSolo 1800, you will recieve a FREE RichardSolo Custom Case for iPhone 3G/3GS! (A $25 value)

For a limited time, you can pick up a RichardSolo 1800 Backup Battery for only $5.98! And, if you buy two or more units, the price drops to $5.09/unit!
